EmperorWeeGeeII Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 I am not entirely familiar with how film schools and music universities cooperate with each other, is it common for that to happen? (US or Canada) Quote
Morivou Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 At Indiana, we have a collaboration. Once a year we come together and score some of the film students' projects. We call it Double Exposure. It's a fun process! I want to conduct the pieces next year. We also, kind of related but not, have a collaboration with the Ballet department, where we put together pieces for them to choreograph. It's a big fundraiser and we call it Hammer and Nail. :) Quote
Plutokat Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 My undergrad university composition department (Stephen f. Austin state) worked very close with the cinematography department and every year the composers would group score that years senior feature length movie. Quote
EmperorWeeGeeII Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 Do those cool colabs happen very often in other universities as well? Quote
