I am trying to orchestrate an arpeggiated figure that was composed on piano for a middle school band clarinet section. It is in C minor so they can't make the jump from Eb to G easily. I am stuck on how to make it sound fluid and still be easy enough. Any advice would be appreciated.

Eb to G shouldn't be a problem. if the clarinetists are taught the alternate fingerings for Middle C and low Eb, a C minor arpeggio should be no problem. That's the beauty of the clarinet, you can write just about anything for it because it has so many alternate fingerings. Unless you're talking about a C minor scale on a piano in which case the clarinets would be playing a D minor arpeggio which shouldn't be a problem at all.

If this wasn't helpful you can always cue the saxophones or flutes.
