Twice I've attempted to upload a new piece.. I fill in the data required, site acknowledges upload of mp3 and score.. When I hit submit.. It tells me my Flash is out of date..  I update Flash, still the same message..  I can't see anything.. get a view that looks like the directy of an old college website.. all text, no graphics..  (somethings wrong with your flash.. Although when first arriving at site things look proper.

On a Mac at least once a week I go to sites, that demand I update my Flash.  Some of these sites install a FLASH with Malware embedded in it..  I will only go to Adobe, and download Flash direct.  I can't understand out of visiting  10 sites, two will tell me my Flash is out of  date, when it isn't..  Because of the inherent 'packability' of Flash, (and the fact Apple hates Adobe).. Mac's try to bypass it when ever possible.. In fact Safari shuts it off.. I will get a temporary window asking me to turn it on, to view certain sites.. Other sites work fine..

If I attempt to upload song again (in pop category )  a window comes up with my two uploads. but the title, tags, and content window is empty..

Hope you fix it...

Are all our other submissions sent to archives?  Will there be a way to 'relink' them to easily viewable?

Thanx

You might have been uploading works while I was performing some testing.  I am trying to get us an embedded mp3 player so that we don't have to download files; I'd rather have streaming mp3s.  I'm currently learning this new forum software, but I am getting the hang of it.

Good news is, that whatever you have uploaded will be fixed once I get this HTML5 player up and running.  As for the archives, the best thing you can do is re-upload your works.  The reason why I made this change to the site is because I am going to try my best to revive this community, and "keeping it simple" is a good first step.  At first this may be annoying, but in the long run, I honestly believe this is in the best interest of this community.

I had the same problem. I tried it trice, the second time with a different browser, and the third time after updating the flash of the original browser and every time it is the same problem. If it's from your testing chopin, can you inform us once you stop testing so that we know that we can upload pieces. On the other hand, might it be from Windows XP which I use? If so, can you make this new software Windows XP friendly so that I can upload pieces without being required to update my windows?

I doubt this is an operating system issue.  Are you both using windowsXP?  What browser are you using?

But if two people are now having this issue, and others are fine, this might be an IPB bug on certain situations.  Can both of you take a screenshot of the error so I can decide if this should be submitted to IPB?

I couldn't reaccess the page in order to take a screenshot. However, I had copied the message that followed a list of words in a column (words like volume, play, and other such words concerning uploads), and this is it:

"Update Required To play the media you will need to either update your browser to a recent version or update your Flash plugin."

I use Firefox and Google Chrome.

I just discovered, the website, chopped down the size of the file.. It gets up to 6:24 and ends, the song is 10:00 minutes long.. Will try to re-upload, and see if it gets fixed..
