I composed this piece about a year ago. It wasn't for any specific piece of media, but I composed it with an action scene in mind. It was created using Logic, EW/QL SO, and NI's Komplete 9. Let me know what you think!

Hi Millert1409!

First off, if you're going for an action scene feeling you've got the right ideas in mind. The one thing, is that this almost feels like the build up to an action scene--action scenes usually contain a TON of dynamic/texture/etc. contrast (not to mention hit points and impacts) to highlight the film. Considering you didn't have a scene to work with, well done on style!

In terms of your "instruments/sounds", you're using everything effectively, especially individually so. One challenge I often face is guiding the listeners' ears using not only volume, but also things like tambre, range (high/low), and articulation (edgy, mellow). Your use of similar tambres moving together is good, as is your range. You definitely have more instruments/voices in the middle/low range though, which might be cleared up if you could clear up the articulation on the "attacks" of the notes--making them "edgier" will clarify the sound (and rhythm as a bonus!) without needing to boost volume and risk covering other voices.

Nice job constructing a complex piece, your builds and structure are really awesome! Would love to see what you could do if you were given film to use as a guideline for building your music around!
