Luis Hernández Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Absolute baroque style. It's a pity we cannot see the score... I like it, there's a beatiful middle section (1:10....). What I'm not sure of is the tremolando in an organ (they seem very long sometimes). I think it's more typycal in the harpsichord. Quote
Ken320 Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 (edited) It's so strange that people with no posts and no history and poor spelling show up here out of nowhere with suspect virginal accounts of their accomplishments and no score. It's always my first this, my first that. Call me a cynic but I don't buy it. Spammer. Edited June 1, 2016 by Ken320 Quote
Luis Hernández Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 I had not thought about it, but you're right Ken.... Coming from nowhere and without score... it could be plagiarism. I'll be aware. Quote
Freewayer Posted June 1, 2016 Author Posted June 1, 2016 I agree. My spelling is poor, because I don't speak English very well. I'm from Poland. Here are the scores. PDF d moll Quote
Luis Hernández Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Thanks, it's always a pleasure to see the score. I have only one suggestion: in some points (bar 17, left hand) there are impossible intervals. There you have 11th even 12th intervals. Perhaps some notes could be done by the right hand, but it is not written that way. With a pieno, using pedals perhaps is more suitable. I always try to write things that (I think) can be actually performed. Quote
Freewayer Posted June 1, 2016 Author Posted June 1, 2016 Yes, it's impossible to play. But when i was writing it (a long time ago) i didn't think about playing. Then i just wanted to write something. Quote
bkho Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Very nice for a first fugue. There are some hints of Bach's "Little" G minor fugue, not a bad source for inspiration since I personally consider that the most perfect fugue ever written. Quote

If you - or I - wrote a fugue, which is considered to be the metal of a composer's acumen in terms of counterpoint, we would post our real names, fully and accurately, and proudly, so that there would be no mistake. He sez it's an "old fugue" from his old fugue writing days I suppose. He's a charlatan. Pay him no more attention. Challenge him to produce more fugues if he's so glib. Quote
