After some time though, I feel like this piece needs a contrasting, slower section. At some point I start to hear a machine instead of a piano. bkho Posted July 17, 2016 Share Posted July 17, 2016 Reminds me a little of Prokofiev's Toccata with the driving repeated notes in the opening. I enjoyed it a lot, though I agree with Dirk that a contrasting section would be welcome as the frenetic pace of the work throughout is almost too tiring for my ear at least.
