DirkH Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 I think you are very good at creating an atmosphere in just a few bars. After some time though, I feel like this piece needs a contrasting, slower section. At some point I start to hear a machine instead of a piano. By creating a moment to breathe, you could make the whole piece a lot more interesting. Good job! Quote
Cyborg W Posted July 17, 2016 Author Posted July 17, 2016 thanks for the advice, it actually allows rubato in places where articulation changes, but the software cant do it Quote
bkho Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Reminds me a little of Prokofiev's Toccata with the driving repeated notes in the opening. I enjoyed it a lot, though I agree with Dirk that a contrasting section would be welcome as the frenetic pace of the work throughout is almost too tiring for my ear at least. Quote
Cyborg W Posted July 18, 2016 Author Posted July 18, 2016 I agree that it is quite tiring to listen to it, I should arrange the chords in a way to make it light. Quote
