Luis Hernández Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 In this case, I wanted to use the litlle form of sonatina to non traditional harmonies. The result was a sonatina in canonic style. Monarcheon Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 This was really cool to hear! Non-traditional harmonies and atonal pieces are some of my favorite to hear canonically because it's so much more open to move themes around, and this was no exception. This flowed really well and the tension built in a lot of places were thought out and strategic. Great piece. Quote
aranarochel Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 I always enjoy hearing your pieces because you make great use of harmonies, modes, and forms that I feel not enough composers make use of. Great work! Quote
fishyfry Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Very nice as always. I've never seen clusters used canonically before. Having the imitation enter on an offbeat makes perfect sense, since it doesn't overload the down beats with notes. The ending was perfect. Quote
