A suspense action music I made for the walking dead attack scenes of my game, "Space Anomaly" where a rescue team is sent unto an orbital research compound when they received a distress call 48 hours ago. They then found no trace of the crew but found some blood stains in the floors and the walls. What they don't know is the crew was infected by an alien virus that came from the artifacts they obtained from planets, eventually turning them to walking dead.

Accompanying videogame for the music:

The music is orchestral, accompanied by electronic ambient effects and a subtle vocal choir.

Hey! You succeeded in making it suspenseful... at first. The ostinato is a really great and has just that bit of edge necessary to get me hooked initially. The opening section I think goes on for a little bit too long.

The second part, to me, sounds a bit too random and cluttered along with the ostinato to be suspenseful.

For me, suspense is a term that requires a lot of buildup! The beginning of the second section begins to do that, but quickly become monotonous again, and doesn't crescendo or add more voices or anything at the very end. I want to feel like the virus is turning my body into a zombie as I scream out with the music's tension building around me! I didn't receive it.

I think it's a great starting point to build to something a little stronger, but for now, it seems like like a base. Play around with dynamics! I know it doesn't fit into your scenario, but have you played Alien: Isolation? I wanna feel like I'm there, being stalked by a giant alien! If you can capture that, you're golden.

Good suggestion! I'll try listening to the Alien Isolation soundtrack. Those are not real orchestra but recorded samples though. I'm revising it at the moment. The instruments could use some 3D positioning. I think the drums must be on center, the strings on the side and the electronic effects on the background.
