Zimr Music Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 So I redid one of the background music for my game. The music is put in the background and is meant to add atmosphere to the game. It is faint so that the player won't notice it much. MP3 Play / pause JavaScript is required. 0:00 0:00 volume > next menu dp2 > next Quote
Anthony Johnson Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 It's really well done. It straight forward and to the point I'd say. It really gives me that desert feeling, but also a feeling like there is danger everywhere stay on your guard type of feeling. May I ask are you using RPG Maker? Quote
Monarcheon Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I agree with mostly everything Samurai said. How long is this scene? Even musically untrained players will notice it's a very short loop and will start to become annoyed by it rather than immersed by it. Old NES games were notorious for this. Just a word of warning. Zimr Music Posted September 16, 2016 Author Posted September 16, 2016 @LostSamurai --- no I'm using unity 5 as game engine because it is free.. Added a flute and some mastering. MP3 Play / pause JavaScript is required. 0:00 0:00 volume > next menu dp session 2 > next Quote
Anthony Johnson Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Ok cool. Yeah I saw the video of your game in your other topic and it looks very good. I'm more of a game story writer/character designer so modelling is definitely not my strong suit haha. The theme is definitely getting stronger and more full. I like the use of the flute more here, however I see it only plays during the first minute or so then disappears shortly afterwards through the rest of the theme. I think if the flute had more presence throughout the piece and gets stronger as it plays it could possibly add more to the atmosphere greatly. In hindsight I think you are definitely on the right track. Nice work! Quote
Zimr Music Posted September 17, 2016 Author Posted September 17, 2016 Thanks for the suggestions Quote
