In The Neighborhood

Tom Waits had a line in one of his songs that went, "The things you can't remember tell the things you can't forget - History puts a saint in every dream."

This is a little song about the people we used to know, and the places where we knew them.

Beautiful and charming all at the same time. You obviously know how to keep simplicity interesting, and that's a quality I regard very highly. Two spots felt a little bit not as smooth:

0:39, where the clarinet goes from its F# to G, resolving to the 4th of the dominant.
2:00, with the augmented 4th and diatonic 4th, all in the same tonic chord. 

But overall, a very pleasant listen. Very, very nice.

In concert pitch, @.39 (bar22) the F is just a suspended fourth of C7. It doesn't resolve to anything until it lands on the A of F(I). There is a brief dissonance there with the E in the piano (against the F) which resolves to D in the very next beat.

@2.00 (bar 60) diminished 5th to fourth but not in the same chord. I know it's a little off, a little asymmetrical, but it's supposed to be. I would not change the Cb to a C. This is not a new song, so I've had plenty of opportunities to change that, but have not. You have very good ears, my friend!

For 22, yeah, it was just that brief dissonance that got me a little. Nothing major at all. Again, my compliments to the work!
