Ken320 Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 I posted this before I think. But I can't find anything in the archives. This one has a better orchestration and mix and it breathes better. It's a song in the French pop style. Think "Shoot The Piano Player" by François Truffaut. I hope that you like it. bkho Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 I remember this piece. Really nails the "French" setting and I could imagine it as part of a soundtrack for a quirky French film. Quote
Monarcheon Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Nice. The spot where the violin has a descending D major line sounded a little bit awkward, and perhaps some of the melody-less sections went on for a little too long for a non-movie score, but those are small complaints in a pretty nice piece. Great immediate atmosphere; that's always so important! Quote
Ken320 Posted October 6, 2016 Author Posted October 6, 2016 I don't know what you mean by melody-less. It's just a song and all there is is melody. And all of the sections, whether verse or bridge, don't vary in length throughout. Actually, they can not vary. Those are the rules. Quote
Luis Hernández Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 This sound as French Cabaret. The vintage piano flavor is great. Quote
