Zimr Music Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Okay, this is my first serious composition. It's for a short jet flyby scene above a mountain at sunset for a videogame Listen with earphones or high-end speakers for best listening 1 Quote
Monarcheon Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 You found a nice way to make the chords in here work well with each other. The Neapolitan 2nd (the F major chord) and the iv chord complimented each other well and you switched between them really quite well. My main issue is the rhythm of the melodic/harmonic line. A lot of the time it's incongruent with the main beat in places that don't really feel purposeful, like the middle of beats occasionally. Maybe it would have helped if the base beat changed to compliment this a little more. Quote
Luis Hernández Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 This creates a nice atmosphere, and I think it goes well with your purpose (for the scene you mention). It's funny, I think the dysrhythm, or polyrhythm is a plus (for me). Quote
