Prelude and Fugue

This is a Prelude and Fugue for recorder trio (soprano, alto and tenor). I composed it for a trio (which was a quartet, but one person gave up) I would take part in, but then the whole group "ceased to exist" without a single rehearsal with everybody (= 3 people).

The Prelude and Fugue continues to existe, but now without a concrete destiny. Hope you enjoy^^

OBS: I changed the VST to flutes because Garritan's recorder sound is a scream of pain from hell.

OBS2: I didn't put dynamics, articulations or anything else because I'm lazy.

m. 4, no third?
m. 14, awkward resolution using replaced voices.
m. 24-26, really have no idea what's going on.
Lots of other places in the beginning have no third, but those are justifiable since they don't use the interjecting tone to continue on.
A lot of soprano throughout this piece, and when it clashes like that, it's very muddy, this is especially apparent in the fugue. Part of the inventiveness of a fugue comes from hearing voices come in and fade out and occasionally line up, but here it's really congealed. Maybe it's just the audio, but a lot of similar register with not a lot of breaks or written dynamic contrast makes this piece suffer a bit.

Oh no!  What a flaky bunch of tooters!  There's a group here in Boston called "Concordia Consort" that you could send it off to.  They do early music and also compose and adapt their own.  Very nice people.  

I don't mind the soprano clashes at all, they keep it from being too sweet.  I worry that some of your lines may be a bit long for consistent breath without a convenient place to snatch a catch breath if necessary, but that's the sort of thing that can be figured out in rehearsal.  But now that we know that you play recorder, we will expect you to record all the parts and stitch them together in garageband...  (:

I really want to try this, not only with this piece, but with other as well^^ But the thing is that I don't have a tenor recorder yet. And my soprano is terrible. Summing up, I just have a decent alto, and below-average soprano and alto =/
