Hello everyone!

I am fairly new to this forum and was very excited to find it! This is a piece I'm working on for a project that is about a dream world filled with nightmares. Im not sure where or if it will fit but any feedback would be much appreciated.

Not every chord has to be a seventh chord you know; with something like this a jarring image of calm vs. complex would be nice, but it's too static here in my opinion. I also don't really get the feeling of encountering nightmares. You set up a dreamscape, admittedly, quite admirably, but I don't get that second layer to it. Possibly adding really electronic sounds to counter it would add to that effect. That's just a suggestion, I just want to feel more uncomfortable.

Awesome feedback, thank you! 7th,9th,13th are my weakness I just love them too much :)

-maybe some diminished chord tones or some unsettling background sounds to make it more unstable?

I can hear the dream aspect though as Monarcheon mentioned it is a little difficult to determine where the Nightmare portion comes in.

I hear the part where the tension is steadily building which leads into the vocals towards the end but it ends abruptly (Which is a current issue I have actually haha.)

Overall, if this was more developed it has the potential to be something epic.

I think the problem is, as you mention Samurai, is that Im stopping short of glory, and more nightmares. Im glad I posted on here you all are giving me so much more to think about! Thank you so much!
