Installation

Hi there, here to report on the bugs. 

The installation took quite a while and at the end, it proceeded to restart my PC directly without prompting. After restarting, I tried starting the program, I got the Microsoft .NET Framework error box (see 'NET Framework' jpg [2nd image]). After clicking 'Continue', the program appears blank, save for a few letters (see 'Startup after continue' jpg [3rd image]). When i tried closing, an error box (see 'Close' jpg [1st image]) appears and clicking 'Quit' will exit the software. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the same thing happens. I also tried repairing, but nothing has changed so far.

What operating system are you using?  I will try to install this at my job tomorrow, since we are still on Windows 7.  I've tested this in Windows 7, but I haven't tested the installation on this operating system yet.  The restart is most likely due to the fact that your system did not have .NET, so it had to restart your computer.  When you reinstalled again, did your PC restart the second time?

Do you have the following file saved in your directory structure?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Music Jotter\Assets\MusicDLL.dll

If not, this is why you can't load the program.  I'd have to figure out why the installer didn't install the files correctly if this is the case.

I am using Windows 10 by the way, and upon reinstalling, my PC did not restart. 

Funnily enough, I have MusicDLL.dll, but it still can't seem to get the program to load. 

Is the music jotter exe file located here?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Music Jotter\mjotter.exe

It is important that mjotter.exe is the parent, and the folder Assets is also located in the same folder as mjotter.exe

Verify this for me if you can.  I also have Windows 10, and the installation was flawless on my laptop.  I must have tested this over 200 times, which is why I am concerned this is already failing.

It is. I will attempt reinstall again afterwards. It may just be my PC, I don't know. 

Good news is that I was able to reproduce the issue you are having.  I installed at my work computer, and we have windows 7.  It might be because I have a 32 bit operating system here, and I've only been testing this on multiple 64 bit systems.

Don't bother reinstalling, I think the issue may be that you also have a 32 bit operating system.  Can you verify this for me?  If you left click on "My Computer" and go to "Properties", you should capture your computer info.

Mine is a 64-bit OS as well, actually. 

By the way, I have tried reinstalling. Nothing seems to work at the moment. Let me check through my PC and I will let you know if I have stumbled upon anything. 

Try saving the following dlls to the Assets folder:

dll1

dll2

This seemed to solve the issue for me and the program loaded successfully.  If this works for you I will repackage the installer when I get home, for the others.
