Monarcheon Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 Experimenting with a bit of minimalism in a really grand, cinematic style, with exception of the V section, of course. I quite like the results, even if the piece is a little bit too simple. Quote
Anthony Johnson Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 (edited) I like it. Only thing I found to be distracting was the introduction as I didn't expect it to last too long. Although perhaps the tempo makes up for it. Loving the bigger section however the way you structured it made me crave more. Overall, it's lovely Edited January 17, 2017 by LostSamurai Quote
Casper Belier Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 4/4 on the beginning sounded really odd to me on my first listen, but on second listen i got it, but the pulse is weird. then i hear 7/4 man you have me counting!!! can i see the score? maybe you can spice up the harmonies sometimes when working with mostly the same melody. because the harmony was a bit like unsalted peanuts. also, when im thinking about cinematic, i think about epic build-ups or spontaneous stuff. takadimi! Score's attached for you! 4 hours ago, LostSamurai said: Only thing I found to be distracting was the introduction as I didn't expect it to last too long. I agree that's definitely a shortcoming. Hopefully it didn't impact the experience too much! 1 Quote
