Sojar Voglar Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 This composition was created for the youth symphonic orchestra of Slovenia to dedicate the 200th anniversary of music education in Slovenia. It is more simple than most of my orchestral music - relatively clear tonality, with reminiscents of 19th century style with some easy-going contemporary elements. I wish you pleasant listening since there is nothing special to focus on in terms of orchestral or formal approach. ;) PDF slavnostna uvertura 2016 partitura popravek 1 Quote
Marc O'Callaghan Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Very nice! Indeed, it is less harmonically complex than what you usually write, but it's nonetheless a fine piece of music (doesn't have to be complex to be good!). Nice writing and good performance :) Quote
Adrian Quince Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Love it. One small nitpick: The spots where you use two unison trumpets were jumping out of the texture at me. Possibly consider bringing these down to 1 or adding the third. Another possibility is moving the two trumpets into octaves to thicken the texture, though generally you keep it pretty transparent throughout. Quote
dbzfreak2 Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 Goodness, I'm always enchanted by your music, it's so pleasing and fun to listen to. Excellent job Quote
