Main theme for a fantasy film

Hi there,

I spent the last days working on this little tune...

...a somewhat rhythmically driven (almost march-like) medieval/fantasy theme soundtrack theme. It's build upon a (hopefully) heroic melody and is intended to accompany the travel montage of a fantasy epic (game/film). If you have some handy tips, especially concerning the mix, please do not hesitate to share your insights. :)

Oh my...I have to say your choice of instruments and where they appear are unique in a really good way. I like the general melody and the way you use your brass instruments were good too. 

I think ending the piece on the same drum rhythm can be worked on a bit more. But overall I loved it.

Hey, thanks a lot for yourfeedback,  really appreciate it!  Indeed, you made some good points concerning the coda. I certainly will rework this piece someday (particularly to apply some stronger midi modifiers for humazition effects and more overall reverb). On this occasion, there also will be also some major adjusments for a final build-up.

Your work is amazing! The melodies, chords, and instruments are great and epic !

I think you can improve more in the general mixing by example there is a strong moment with a crash cymbal and it's a bit shy compared to the level of the other instruments. There's a little lack of power during the epic moments, maybe you can try some staccatos or increase the volume of the low drum? (That's only suggestions and for maybe it can help you for your future works)

Defnitely, for the next version there will some volume velocity increases. 

Oh my gosh! This is an epic piece for fantasy film, indeed. There's so much I could delve into, here. But I will just this: it has a lot of potential. I really love it.

Since I wasn't entirely satisfied with the MIDI-based recording of my orchestral version I transcribed it for solo piano. I tried to stay as true as possible to the original orchestral version, especially in keeping the bass ostinato as well as the off-beat fills for pizzicato strings beneath the melody vocings. Maybe one or two of you here find it interesting to watch all the different voices in action. Hope you'll enjoy.
