Awesome chords in the beginning! After a while though, the F# in the F major chord became a lot more annoying then blended, especially since it isn't a passing tone. 
The middle section could use some more expansive chords and texture development, since it really doesn't sound that "epic", simply loud. 
This problem with too similar sections persists for the rest of the piece. It just needs more, in my opinion. I want to be attached and fall in love with the journey and I'm not really getting a sense of that here.

I agree completely. This starts off with tons of potential, but then doesn't develop. I recommend taking that great first idea and manipulating it so it changes into something else. Play with variations on that idea for a while, practice developing it, changing keys and meters and rhythms. Try to take us on a journey, one with more than just one color.
