MikeO Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 (edited) Piece for cello and piano, meant to be funny. I tried to include some "mistakes" and other things to make this piece kind of comical. Crappy finale recording, but I'm playing this piece at my recital in less than a month. Adrian Quince Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 (edited) The outer sections work really well for me. Laughed out loud more than once! But I lost the humor in the middle section. Seemed too regular to me given the obvious humor before and after. Edited March 16, 2017 by Adrian Quince Quote
Monarcheon Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Good comments by @Adrian Quince. If I were to add something, it would be that moments of silence should be treated with a little more caution. Showmanship in the performance may help with that! Secondly, the fluid stuff is kind will definitely turn lose the audience's engagement from the stuff prior and after. Wrote a parody piece a while back and had the audience kind of be non responsive during the part where things regrouped. Maybe you can pull it off! :) Cheers! Quote
