Dear Friends,

Here I share one of my piano songs composed several years ago. Since then I have never gotten any feedback for the song. I'd appreciate if you listen to it and share your impression with me. Thanks in advance for listening to it :)

Here is the youtube link of the song:

Well, if you posted this several years ago and never got any feedback I would suggest writing something new.

Hi @Ken320,

Thanks for your message. I think you misunderstood something and I want to clarify it here. I didn't post the song in this forum but somwhere else. If had posted it here I wouldn't have done the same since I'm aware that the forum deserves this dignity.

I became a member of this forum long ago but I didn't posted anything for a long time. Since I started to share my songs in this forum recently, I noticed that it gives far more and professional feedbacks than any other platform I encountered. In my opinion, receiving high quality feedback is quite important and beneficial especially for those who didn't have any professional music education like me. In this respect, I beleive that this forum also acts like an education platform for those who didn't have opportunity to study music.

I'm sure that now you understand me well  :)

Best regards,

Fair enough, I'll give you my honest opinion. It's not very good and that's why I suggested that you post something newer. If you don't have anything newer then that suggests something else, like maybe music isn't your thing. You've got a good chord progression to start with I-VI-IV-V, but it never develops in order to produce an interest in the listener, which is really your only job when it comes to writing songs. The melody is more or less all over the place, almost as if any old note will do. Ask yourself this: Can you sing your melody? Can you remember it?

Are you taking piano lessons? If not, you should. Even if you are doubtful of your goals or talent, you owe it to yourself to hook up with a teacher. If nothing else it will be fun. If not, maybe music is not for you. Maybe you just need direction. Please don't take this personally, I say the same thing to everyone. Find a teacher! And best of luck to you.
