The recording is kind of awkward with the piano being quieter than I would expected, but even so, I would have liked to see the two meld a little more in thematic material or polyphony, but what you have here is nice too. Justin Graff Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Yeah this recording doesn't really do the piano justice, which is a shame because the piano writing is so good! I really liked the trumpet's cantabile melody at 1:47- it's quite beautiful, but I was sad to see it go away so quickly. Quote
