"Number 8 Will Shock You!" (Piano, Marimba, Double Bass)

For this piece I mainly focused on utilizing quartal/quintal harmony, as well as modality and some elements of minimalism. Unfortunately, all I have right now is the MIDI sound file played by MuseScore- hopefully I can get a live recording eventually. Let me know what you think!

Yes, I like the tonality. I am working on something similar for marimba. Similar in meter, anyway.

Very nice. It has enough variation to keep it from being totally minimalist, but definitely has bits and pieces of it here and there.
I would, instead of two dotted eighths in the 6/8 measures, use a duplet instead. It's just more standard.
It may just be the recording, but the piano comes in a bit strong. Starting off with one hand at a time might result in a longer, more drawn out minimalist buildup, if that's what you're after.

Just wanted to chime in and say that the marimba part is interesting for the player and very doable!
