punintentional Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Just uploaded my latest piece to SoundCloud. Any suggestions? PDF Adagio and Allegro Quote
Mark101 Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 (edited) Hi Punintentional, I don't know what sort of suggestions you might be hoping for, are there parts of the work you're not too sure about? Personally I wouldn't change anything, I like it as it is, with the possible exception of feeling like there is lots of room for more development, especially in the allegro. I really liked this section and would have happily listened to another 3 or 4 mins easily, by that I don't mean that it left my feeling like there should be more, but that if there were more in the way of development, it wouldn't seem to be too much or out of place. Does that make any sense, I don't know? Edited May 30, 2017 by Mark101 Quote
punintentional Posted May 30, 2017 Author Posted May 30, 2017 It does make sense and I'm glad you like it. :D 38 minutes ago, Mark101 said: I don't know what sort of suggestions you might be hoping for I guess I just wanted to get hear other people's opinions really. When you spend so much time on something it can be hard to step back from it and see it as others would. I may go back and add some more development to the Allegro ... I don't know. I agree that the Allegro could definitely be developed more but at the same, I kind of want to leave the piece alone for now :). The combined duration had to be under 5 minutes for a competition I entered. If I'm not one of the winners I reckon I'll do some more work on it. Otherwise, I'll keep it the way it is. Either way, thanks for your feedback. Quote
Luis Hernández Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Hi, I like it very much. Nice contrast between the two parts. Always interesting and with beauty. Quote

Thank you very much! :D It took a few attempts to get the Allegro right: trying to strike the balance between contrast and cohesion was hard (or at least it was for me.) Quote
