Wow, thanks @Monarcheon.

It's really exciting. I don't know what happens inside my brain but I like this things. Using the instruments in these new ways is inspiring. I'll look for more stuff from her.

I see she wrote a string quartet with quarter tones...

The question of time signature has an explanation. This kind of music is, many times, better seen without any meter. But when there are several players, it's necessary to notate some time signature, even these odd ones. Otherwise, synchronization is almost impossible.

I made that mistake once in an exercise for three instruments. It was all very contemporary and with odd rhythms..., but I didn't write any key signatures... I had to correct that to be understandable by players....
