Blurred Transformation

Hi all, this is piece for two harps and sampler. The Sampler is programmed with mainly extended harp techniques, which I recorded with one of the harpists.

Wow, recently I've been studying harp extended techniques. Unfortunately, I can't write using them and listen to the result.

So this is so fresh! A live performance is great!

It's nice. Sounds rather introspective.
I personally found the use of bisbigliando to be a little much in this piece. It's idiomatic, but messes with what seems like an exploration of pitch relation.

Do you find the bibigliando to be to loud or does the technique in of it self not fit in the music?

This is an awesome work -and especially on a psychological level. When most hear harp music, they think arpeggios and angelic... pure sounds. The opening turns that on the head in an awesome way. Seeing the harpists on stage... and hearing that opening... psychologically challenges that notion. Kudos on that! I love the contrast and feel it adds to that in a remarkable way. This is a very mature work. Nicely done!
