Donethur Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Hello, Please your feedback regarding this piece. This was composed on Jul of this year. I am not a pro, but I always do my best. I hope you like it. Thanks! Quote
Luis Hernández Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 This one has good independent lines, which is what I expect ir orchestral works. Quote
Monarcheon Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Polyphonic execution was pretty well done, though some issues with cross relations are in this piece as well. Not a huge deal, but can make a chord progression sound less strong just because of the defiance of expectation. Timbral crossed voices become a slight issue here, but like I said, it was mostly well done. Just something for you to take note of in the future. Quote

I personally notice some potentially unintended dissonances and less-than-optimal harmonies. First of all, when tagging a member, make sure you get a dropdown menu after you @ sign, otherwise it won't tag the person. Secondly, a cross relation is just when notes from different modes of the same scale are used together in a measure or chord. Done purposefully, it's a powerful tool, but done on accident, it sounds very awkward. Quote
