Spacefish Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 hi this gone get a bit confusing sorry for that i want write down the chord progression on the attached image. i know it's in the a major scale but i have no clue how to write down the progression. (with write down i mean "I - V - IV - II" for example) i know those are inverted chords and if the F# in the first chord would be a G# and the C# in the second chord would be a D the chord progression would be V - II but in this case i have no clue how to write it down, can you help me? reaktr Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 (edited) These are all a 4th apart. It could be a II sus4 and VI sus4 chord. But if it's not classical harmony then I don't think that it's really useful to analyse it this way. And it's hard to identify a degree without any context but maybe other members of this forum could help you more. Edited September 12, 2017 by Krys K. Quote
Monarcheon Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 It depends on what key you analyze it. I would say it is in B major, and thus, the resulting chord progression is Isus4, then the same I chord with a changing tone, then a resolution to B major would be expected. Quote
