Monarcheon Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 1. I think you make the piece take off too quickly. With a few exceptions, it stays at a pretty constant volume. 2. You should probably reread the rules about writing a canon. The dux is relatively clear, I guess, but the comes are pretty scattered and don't follow a set pattern from what I can see... Quote
Luis Hernández Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Hi This is absolutely "Pachelbel". But with 7 instruments instead of 4. I think the structure is good, because this is a round. Although the voices don't enter one by one (in measure 7 they all come in), I hear clearly how the voices go one after the other. Howeer, I would have used less instruments because there is no sense that sometimes there are doublings. The final part, with all the voices in parallel, homophonic, in my opinion, breaks the sense of canon. Yes, I know it's the end, but counterpoint is just that: counterpoint. Quote
