Monarcheon Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I just find this confusing. It has a pretty clear AABB form, but harmonically and rhythmically it just kind of jumps around, with kind of an odd regard to nonfunctional harmony. Perhaps without all the leaps in your "melody" in the A section would be a little more coherent. The B section made more sense. Quote
Luis Hernández Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 @Timothy Speer hi for me it has sense because it transmits emotions to me. This the Kind of music I like. Call me emocional but I don't care how it is made. I'm tires to think anything is good in music id it saya something. Quote
Willibald Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 My purely subjective take: The first part is rhythmically more pleasing than the second one. Especially the triplet build-up in measure 6 and its resolution in measure 7 are very convincing to me. The second part is definitely more melodic; but those melodies do not sound like they are belonging to the same piece than the first part. An odd contrast to the rhythmic first part. The fast figures in m.11 and 15 also didn’t fit well for my ears. I think my different take than Monarcheon’s stems from the fact that the start of the piece evoked different expectations in me. That said, I enjoyed the piece and have listened several times to it. Quote
