Xnivx Posted October 8, 2017 Posted October 8, 2017 (edited) Hi everyone. This is a famous chord progression used in the chorus in pop songs, in the key of C major: F - G - Em - Am - Dm - G - C :|| However, there is a variation of this chord progression. After the repeat, the bass goes as: F# - F - E - Eb - D - G - C Can anyone figure out what are these chords? I'm assuming that they are: F#dim or F#m7-5 - Fm7 - C/E - Ebdim - Dm - G - C Here is an example of the chord progression: Thank you very much! Edited October 8, 2017 by Xnivx Quote
Xnivx Posted October 8, 2017 Author Posted October 8, 2017 I've researched for a while and now it looks like a lydian progression to me. Could it be: Am6 - E (-6) - C6 - F#m7 (-5)? Thanks. Quote
Xnivx Posted October 11, 2017 Author Posted October 11, 2017 Yeah and because I'm composing a song with a jazzy part in it, I want to use this chord progression. I know how the chords go but it's hard to figure out the exact chord names. Quote
