Donethur Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 Hi, I am sharing my latest composition. I hope you like it. :) Quote
Maximus Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 At first it had a baroque feel to it but then it seemed to take on a "latin" vibe. Sounds very fun overall. Lots of Alberti bass too. The tempo change at 1:46 threw me off a little. Other than that, the rest seemed fine since you were using the same chords while adding variations here and there (maybe where the latin vibe comes in). The key change wasn't awkward either. If you'd like a better analysis, please post pdf as this is all I can say from listening to it on a Sunday morning. Quote
Maarten Bauer Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 The music sounds pretty nice. I particularly like the vivid atmosphere! The staccato passages in both melody and accompaniment are really effective. Quote
Donethur Posted October 29, 2017 Author Posted October 29, 2017 (edited) Thanks Maximum for the feedback. I agree with you in the final transition, so I made an small change that helped to fix this a bit (Soundcloud now updated). I wanted something unexpected and that may tweak the perception, but it needed work over the transition. This small datail I think it may help to solve this a bit, it sounds better in my opinion, only by decreasing the tempo and adding some extra notes for the transition. I do not have a pdf, as I dont compose in sheet, I only use MIDI (this is the way I learned). And I dont have softwares like the ones commontly used here. Sorry!
