I love it! The music and the scroll, too. 

This music reminds me to those "mystic" pieces by Pärt (For Alina) and Vasks (White soundscape).

I find the effect of the glowing notes especially effective for this piece.

For me, the music didn't evoke so much sadness; instead, it felt more meditative, but certainly with a somber touch.

I am glad you liked the effect. Yes, I agree it is somewhat subjective how to describe music.
