Klaviam Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 Greetings everyone! I'm new to these forums and thought I'd post a song to share. It's called "Waves". To give you context, I've been writing songs for a year now. Nearly all of my songs are instrumentals and fall under the "alternative" genre. Let me know what you think! Quote
Rabbival507 Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 I think it sounds great :) May I ask what samples did you use for this one? They sound almost real! Or maybe I'm wrong, I'm not really into this kind of music so my understanding of it isn't that good (although, I still really like it and would like to hear more of your music, prefer instrumental pieces). Klaviam Posted November 13, 2017 Author Posted November 13, 2017 (edited) I did use samples for the drum track with some modifications (courtesy of Garageband). Everything else was performed by me through acoustic/electric guitar, bass and piano. Edited November 13, 2017 by Klaviam Quote
Rabbival507 Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 @Klaviam Well done then! It sounds like you're a great player. I wish I had the patience to really play everything I'm composing. I'm not a good player though... So composing this way will take me much longer. But it sounds so good! I really don't know. Help please? Quote
markstyles Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 Klaviam - this is EXCELLENT.. So you've been writing songs for a year, how long have you been playing? The composition, arrangement, production are all spot on.. Very impressive Quote
Klaviam Posted November 14, 2017 Author Posted November 14, 2017 I've been playing mostly guitar for pretty much all my life. I only serious became interested in song writing in 2016 and started producing a few songs then. Thanks for the feedback. Quote
Muhammadreza Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 This is one of the best alternative songs I've ever heard. Well done! Quote
