So heres my latest track, a chill, kind of, get high to this vibe. Clearly a vibe piece for setting an atmosphere perhaps as appose to a full blown single. Would love your thoughts.

Needs more chord variations but because this is a hip hop instrumental, repeating the same progressions may be ok; ONLY if it had vocals. Listening to the instrumental alone it began sounding dull after a while.

Nice pattern with the kick, closed hat, side stick, and open crash. But have you ever used 808 sub kicks? I think adding those would bring more flavor as well.

Those are 808 kicks mate

808 kicks and 808 *sub* kicks are different if I'm not mistaken. The 808s I'm speaking of have a louder *boom* than a regular kick.

They are 808's they are just compressed and have a different rate of decay, i did this because the kicks are quite close together and become to distorted if they have to much low end to them.
