Anthony Johnson Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 (edited) Decided to record some lead guitar while thinking of ideas for my next score. It's in the key of C#m, which I love the most. Added some pinch harmonics and a short guitar solo. Feedback is always welcomed. Headphones recommended for better sound. Hope you guys enjoy! Luis Hernández Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Nice title. Good melody and better bass and drums. I like when the guitar solo becomes dissonant at times. Also, when you change the rhythm in the last part. I see there is a binary structure, perhaps a modulation up would encourage the final section. It's only a suggestion. Quote

For the final section I was actually thinking about leaving out the main riff and add in suspended chords. However, the more I attempted to record the suspended chords the more awful the quality sounded; suspended chords has a unique sound different than a regular chord that didn't match my current guitar recording equipment. I just scrapped it and slapped the main riff in there. Quote

markstyles Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Man you are a GREAT guitarist.. yes.. Like Luis, I love when the lead guitarist get's a bit twisted, and let's it get a 'bit sour or a bit'. It adds to the emotion.. Lots of nice guitar techniques.. Fine. Quote
