ThomasAshmanMusic Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Hello All, I have composed an original piece of music called "Battleground". This was composed having a story in mind of that of an empty grassland after a war had ended. A last living soldier walking past all the rubble looking out into the open air with small amounts of smoke in the distance. As I believe you guys have a great judgement and a high level of creativeness, please let me know what you think. Many Thanks, Tom MP3 Play / pause JavaScript is required. 0:00 0:00 volume > next menu ThomasAshmanMusic Composition of Battleground - Thomas Ashman > next 2 Quote
Emanuel Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 Hello thomas how are you? this song need more mixing. its sound is more a the death of one hero.. for me ,freedom or peace. Its what i felt I like the melody, i would put a 1 soprano behind everthing and 1 flute in legato that starts in the middle , i would also like a Rise Tom in 1:10 (this is my personality , do not worry about this) Quote
Slazeus Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 This is great! I think you've nailed the orchestration in this track. I like the little areas of dissonance in the strings before they resolve too, it adds a great bit of 'punch' to the feels of the piece. I also like how the 'tone' of the piece kind of battles between a triumphant and sad atmosphere, It hits home how the lone soldier you describe has survived but under very bitter sweet circumstances. At least that was my take away from it. Good job! Quote
