Sepharite Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 I composed this rough draft for a short film [WIP] recently (which unfortunately I cannot post). Most of the changes align with the beats of the film so some parts may appear or cut off suddenly. The piece is comprised of three sections - depression and loneliness, the turning point, and redemption. Feel free to critique, thank you! Maarten Bauer Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 It's beautiful and the music fits the ideas, you mentioned. Although I cannot see the video, I am sure that the audio will fit the video. The music is indeed minimalistic, but it is not very repetitive, which makes the music never boring to listen to. Contrasts and variations are present. The ending sounds pretty abrupt. What is the reason for this? Well done! 1 Quote
Sepharite Posted January 23, 2018 Author Posted January 23, 2018 Thank you for the nice comment. The ending is abrupt due to the scene cutting off quickly, for dramatic effect. Quote
