Luis Hernández Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 In all, it's nice. I think it talks about the delicacy of that dance... Ingeneral it follows a consonant pattern in the counterpoint parts. But sometimes it seems not. I like those pedal tone (D in bar 3-4, with ninths). Measure 12 is the most dissonant from my point of view (diminished fourths and fifths) but the tension is relieved in the next measures. Quote
aMusicComposer Posted January 29, 2018 Author Posted January 29, 2018 @Luis Hernández Thank you very much! Would you say that it is too consonant or just right? Quote
Luis Hernández Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 For me it's good. I know many people will tell you about this or that. But I don't see music that way. I believe anything is possible and good, if you like it. Strict rules are from past centuries. But we are writing music today. Quote
