Sepharite Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 It's a collection of various scenes, some horror, some suspense, and melodramatic, using Albion's Tundra. Let me know what you think! MP3 Play / pause JavaScript is required. 0:00 0:00 volume > next menu Deep_in_the_Bowels > next Quote
Rabbival507 Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 The beginning sounded like the opening of Princess Mononoke (which is good of course). I had fun listening to your piece, thanks for sharing it here. Quote
Monarcheon Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Watch out on the end envelopes (cutoff) on your string instruments. The cutoff before the next note takes away from the suspense, in my opinion. The second half was a bit repetitive with the I - ii - ii - IVsus2. Could have used more variation. The beginning was really cool with your effects doubling as a polytonal countermelody! 1 Quote
Sepharite Posted April 24, 2018 Author Posted April 24, 2018 Thanks Rabbival507! That was actually the first thing that popped into my head when I was playing this, but went along with it because I love Joe Hisaishi so much. Monarcheon: Thanks! I will see if I can edit the soundfonts so it can reverb a bit more afterwards. I agree the second half does get boring after a while. I'll see if I can add some non harmonic notes. Quote
Jonny Clifford Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Anything deep, bassy, slightly random and swelling gets my thumbs up 👍 1 Quote
