Richard Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Hi everyone, I thought most people on these boards might be interested in a project I'm running for the Philharmonia Orchestra. Composer Resource allows composers of any age or ability to have their pieces rehearsed by members of the Philharmonia, in sessions which are webcast live. Composers can send comments on their piece back to the room by a chat board, and so can participate in the session. The pieces are selected at random, so everyone's got an equal chance, and you can submit works in progress in order to try out ideas with real players. All in all much more satisfying than midi files! Having the best musicians in the world available also means you can write really challenging things! Our next session is scored for oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn and a percussionist (or any combination of the above). the deadline for receiving scores is sept 20th, but they don't have to be finished! Full entry details are here: http://www.philharmonia.co.uk/thesoundexch...poser_resource/ and you can also see the films from last time and see how it works. If anyone has any questions please post and I'll attempt to answer Richard Quote
