nenopro Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 My attempt to write christmas jingle, this is the result Quote
Monarcheon Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Just on a purely sound design level, those sleigh bells are way too loud. Sleigh bells are more like a suggestion-type instrument. The I - bVI - bVII got a little bit old, so I'm glad you superimposed a non-standard key in the melody for the polychord. I don't think you have to feel like you have to resort to that same key schema though. bIII would match the tonal landscape you've got going and could vary the harmonic rhythm. Instrumentally, I feel like you could have made a progression with more instruments in the second A section. I don't know if this is meant to be a loop, but even if it is, varying it a little the second time through is never a bad idea. Quote

To be honest i got bored with listening all over and over again so i've decided to finish as it is and never look it again before 😄 Quote
