Jared Steven Destro Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 I wanted (finally) to share this piece which has been laying around for quite some time, and its companion following movement still is yet to be revised. I was interested in writing a set of chamber concertos for various instruments, and this one pays homage to my home area of Western New York, specifically in the late summer/early autumn. As such, it evokes ideas of the hunt and with heavy use of the warm and earthly strings. (Additionally, the horn is my mother's favorite instrument.) I'd love to hear what people think before I begin revisions on my second movement, especially in regard to difficulty! Luis Hernández Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Wow, you're growing to be a great composer. I love your idiom classical and modern at the same time. It reminds me of Richard Strauss. This movement is very beautiful. Quote
