After finishing my Dr. Caligari soundtrack, I've returned to working on the second of my soundtracks for the Thrawn trilogy from the Star Wars expanded universe, and thought I'd post a track that I just finished.  This is from early in the book, and incorporates John Williams's main theme and the Force theme, as well as introducing a new motif for a secondary villain.  Any criticisms would be greatly appreciated as I revise this track and work on others.  Thanks!

Very nice, really captured the feel of Star Wars but in your own way, not as a pastiche of Williams though you cleverly incorporated some of his famous themes in it.  I'm a big fan of the Thrawn books myself so this is pretty cool.

My only critique is simply choosing this track to identify with the Ferrier character.  If I recall, he was a shifty ship thief so I wouldn't automatically associate this track with the lush orchestration and the use of the hero theme with him.

Thanks!  Yeah, this track is meant for a scene where Luke and Lando confront Niles Ferrier while he's trying to steal a New Republic ship; the heroic music is meant for them.  Niles Ferrier's motif is the thing you hear around 1:02.
