TSTwizby Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 This is one of the few pieces I've written that I can actually play, but unfortunately I lack the equipment to record myself playing at any reasonable quality. Most of this was written all in one go, following inspiration rather than any concrete form or plan. I've never come across a satisfying way of notating what I explain in the first note; staccato isn't the same thing and a caesura, though closer, would usually be too long. Luis Hernández Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 Quite interesting piece. Colorful, indeed. Quote
Monarcheon Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 It does have some pretty cool harmonies, but what's your tone here? I can't seem to easily pick up on it. Use of the chromatic scale like that sounded a little comical and process-like to me rather than anything motivic. That being said the rhythmic interest you have is certainly intriguing to hear in combination. Quote
