arpeggia Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 This was written in November 19, 2012. I was quite prolific and experimental in writing music during 2012-2014, and while I was just playing around with melodies along the higher register, I decided to write this one out. While this one's a very short piece, it was among the very few ones that were actually completed, so I wanna share it to the forum. Hope you like it 🙂 MP3 Play / pause JavaScript is required. 0:00 0:00 volume > next menu Piano in F# minor > next PDF Piano in F# minor 3 Quote
Tónskáld Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Beautiful and enchanting little work! Nice Russian flair. It reminded me of music from those old school video games back in the day. Unfortunately, some of those chords in the right hand at the very end aren't playable by anybody but Rachmaninoff. They'll have to be arpeggiated (which will be difficult, considering the tempo of the piece) or brought closer together. Either way, I quite enjoyed this! Quote
Luis Hernández Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Yes, it sounds like some incidental music, for a particular scene. The high register all the time is peculiar. Those chords at the end are indeed imposible C# - A - F#... even if your hand can take the extreme notes, the finger for the A note has to stroke the key almost when it loses itself... Quote
