Gustav Johnson Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 What does the track title, "Way", mean? Nice string sounds, your samples are pretty good. The "droning" low strings works well with everything else on top of it. @ 1:18 I love the percussion, it's well balanced and well used. I think the second time we hear that rhythm pattern it would be nice to feel a change, and every time after should have some sense of direction. You're doing things in the other parts, but are ignoring the percussive loop. Be careful to pay close attention to every part (as if you were performing it) and find moments where you could use each part to a greater purpose, through playing or resting differently. Good track though, I love the main melodic idea and the textures you've created, very "fantasy" like and very cool! Gustav Quote
Jean Szulc Posted October 29, 2019 Posted October 29, 2019 Hey! I love the percussive strings sounds (plus the actual percussion, of course). It creates a powerful mood and it well produced. I'd only point out that the cross fade between the strings and the piano in the end sound a bit off. There are more ways of transitioning between two ideas other than simply fading audio in a daw, and I believe they will be much more effective. The way it is right now, it feels like you did that just for the sake of finishing the song, and not because you planned it and thought it would add to the overall product. Also, an actual orchestra would never be able to do that, so if you were comissioned a big projecfor orchestra that would be unrealistic. Overall, very good job, I would listen to that on an medieval action game or something. Cheers! Quote

Cheers!  Oh dude, thanks! I'm also want to try something between cross-fade part, idea was deadend. Wonder if I study more orchestra composition rules, maybe I can put something more effectively or COOL transition. shame on me lol Thanks for all the feedbacks! I was so much into percussion trying more power and bass. guess It was a successful 😄 Edited October 31, 2019 by Seung Quote
