Tónskáld Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 Very mournful and haunting... I liked it a lot! The "bookends" (slow part at beginning and end) were quite tasteful and gave the piece a sense of finality. One small criticism is that I think the middle section and its reprises (M.20, for instance) are in a waltz, yet the score shows 4/4 time. It might help performers rhythmically if it were notated in 3/4 time. Overall, great job! Your writing for piano is idiomatic and you clearly know what you're doing. Keep up the great work! Quote
Monarcheon Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 It's nice. I would reevaluate sometimes your voice arrangement for the left hand. Any non-chord tones close to the actual lowest point will often sound a little bland. Quote
J.Santos Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Good try! If I had to mark something is that I think there's metric things to change: the bass seems not fitting on the rythm, like in the bars 16-17. I think the rythm is more complex than it's written and that leaves unclear the way of interpretation, so you could add more expression remarks too. I think there's part were a 7/8 is more on point. Or in Bars 17-18 looks more like there's shifts of 6/8 and 2/8 or 5/8 or 7/8 Maybe I'm wrong, but this is what I can see. Quote
