Pieces for Pianoforte Op. 21 No 2 - Pastorale

This is the 2nd piece of a collection of piano pieces I am slowly writing.
The 1st piece, I wrote many years back. I only now finally found the motivation to write for the 2nd.

Let me know what you think. This is a digital rendering using MuseScore3.

I like it. Pentatonic makes the coloring of the piece some exotic.  The most interesting as for me was the transitions between 4/4 and 6/8. You excellent have done them. These measures are very different and it is difficult to connect such unsimilar parts.

It's fantastic, I love it.

I don't see the use of 2/2 and cut time. Usually this is used in faster tempos. Or a strong pulse + a weaker one....

@Luis Hernández Ooh thanks for that critique. Yeah i do question myself why i use cut time... 2/4 perhaps?

Maybe 4/4 would fit better to the Andante? Same notes, same measures, just the beat is on the quarter note. I mean, you essentially wrote it in 4/4 and then put in the wrong time signature. Other than the time signature issue, I like the piece. You transition so well into the 6/8. And is it in G sharp minor? It is very pretty and dreamy. G sharp minor is such a rare key for me to hear, rarer than F# major or even Ab minor, which themselves are rare keys.
