Ken320 Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 Well, this is an interesting piece that definitely sounds like a Nocturne. I think it is clever and almost humorous the way you only suggest "proper" cadences. But it is skillfully and consistently done throughout that a listener could relax and enjoy the sure hand of the composer. Nicely done. Quote

I like to set aside the strong (perfect and true) cadences for the end, or change of sections. Well, using suspended chords as resolutions is another issue. Quote
Samuel Francis 傅经鸿 Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 Whoa, there is a lot that seems to be going on in this piece. The 6/8 sections have a sort of melodic line that just wanders on peacefully with the hypnotic left hand. Then, 3/8 against 2/4 sections stumble through almost like stepping and slipping on tree roots in the forest. Interesting nocturne. Quote
J.Santos Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 I feel like I've listened this before... really familiar. Great job! Quote
